A demonstration video about the “Ghost” camouflage technology by german company Texplorer GmbH (Now Blücher Systems GmbH)
Developed in cooperation with the german army , this material reduces the thermal signature of soldiers and vehicles and is additionaly hard to spot on rest-light intensifiers aswell as rest-light multiplicators.
It is also available as sheets to cover thermal hotspots of vehicles like tanks.
In combination with conventional camouflage measures (camo nets) it is possible to successfully conceal vehicles such as tanks, trucks, planes and helicopters on ground or airborne FLIR imagery and other night vision optoelectronic devices.
The material is machine washable.

I like wearing camo print tops sometimes but feel funny wearing it around veterans or those currently in the military. Is it offensive to wear when you are not in the military yourself? I feel like it might be disrespectful because its like you are not taking what the real soldiers are doing for their country seriously.
Thank you everyone for your responses.
It is offensive if you are wearing actual military issued clothing as a civilian, or worse altered military issued clothing (colored, ripped, torn). It is real ugly for an actual soldier to wear this crap. If you use it as camouflage clothing while deer hunting for example that is one thing, but I believe it should never be worn in public.
If you are military or civilian, and simply wear a shirt or outfit that says "army" or "navy", I see no foul. Though I wouldn’t expect a soldier to do it. A civilian wearing respectful, patriotic clothes to support the military I think is ok.
With all this in mind, any soldier who served or is serving has earned their uniform. How would it make you feel seeing something you worked hard for being worn by someone who didn’t earn it?
I’m looking for some camouflage snowboard pants. I’m down with pretty much any brand but I’m really looking for baggy pants not tight pants.
Personally, I think that if you want camo pants they should be black and white or gray and white, because out of all the camo pants white usually looks the best. I found some links and listed them below
these are pretty sweet but they’re not exactly camo: http://www.backcountry.com/outdoorgear/Burton-White-Collection-Division-Pant-Mens/BUR3136M.html

anyone wonder why they don’t use camo clothing on star trek tng?
Riker in his red suit makes a nice target on away missions.
Well, Starfleet’s main purpose was exploration, not attack or stealth, so I guess camouflage costuming wasn’t that important. When you’re seeking new life and new civilizations, you’re trying to make friends with them, not frighten them by blending in with your surroundings and being hard to see. Plus, a lot of the Star Trek weapons and technology could find you no matter what you were wearing. After all, if you can find someone’s lifeform with a computer and can beam him anywhere, what’s the point of camo?
Originally, red uniforms were used for security and engineering personnel, but in TNG it became more of a command color. I think that this is because in TOS, most of the security personnel sent on away missions never came home again, thus giving rise to the popular term, "red-shirt". Today, most everyone knows that anyone wearing a red shirt in a TOS episode (except Scotty, of course) is probably going to die. I’m guessing that they made Picard and Riker (and countless others) wear red to try and change that "flaw" that was made in TOS. So, if my guess is right, there really is a reason for Riker to wear red – aside from making him an excellent target.
In my workplace, there are mostly guys in my department, i work as 3D animator and i’m a girl.
well… i always dressed a bit like, i don’t really care. jeans, comfy shoes, black shirts with a scarf, always dark colors.
I started to dress a little better since i got a job, although i do not even wear my "techno" style snickers anymore, camo boots and camo shirts and so on. Although i’m 25 years old, i still dress like i was 15 =P Some colleagues, specially woman, stare at me. Man just don’t seem to even bother, some even tell me they love what i dress.
The thing is that my colleagues from the commercial department they dress very nicely, although they look much older like that.
I hate dressing to look like something i’m not and i don’t have patience to combine the most picky little details like shoes like this with those trousers and that shirt that matches the same details as the belt or shoes, bah!
well, what’s your thoughts? Do you think it really matters?
The key here is to dress for success. The ugly truth is that people judge you on what you wear, which isn’t right, but it happens, and it can be subconscious to the judge-er. I go through spurts of wanting to dress up and wanting to be comfy.
The easiest way to achieve both is to just buy a couple pairs of quality trousers from The Limited, brown, black and grey.
Then get a couple pairs of basic dress shoes in brown and black.
The trick with tops is to stick with tops that aren’t sweatshirty-tshirty material. A lot of silk and satin like fabrics are very comfy to wear and dress up your look without breaking the bank or making you feel uncomfortable.
With basic neutral pants you can throw any shirt with it and even a funky heel if you find one you love the pattern on. But if you want to go easy one day, just throw a white top with any color pants and some black shoes on, easy peasy.
I recently bought some camouflaged trousers but now I cant find them (they must be working) any ideas where they may be?
