CPGear – Crocodile Gaiter – Product Review

Posted by admin on March 31st, 2010 and filed under Camouflage Trousers | 1 Comment »

http://www.cpgear.com How do you improve on what is arguably the world’s finest gaiter? Well, for a Canadian user, you ‘Cadpatize’ it, which is exactly what we’ve done. For years British forces have been using gaiters as an ‘in-between’ for ops where your lower legs are likely to get soaked, but using waterproof trousers is impractical. Gaiters are worn over your combat boots and trousers legs, ending just below the knee. They keep your feet and lower legs dry, and prevent dirt and debris from going up your pant leg or down your boot. These durable gaiters offer protection from water, rocks, and sand. The Gore-Tex® leg sections offer waterproof/breathable performance. Cadpat Supplex nylon is sewn over the upper leg section for camouflage purposes and doesn’t impair the breathability of the Gore-Tex section. Cordura® boot sections provide durability. The fitted lower edge fits a variety of boots.

Sizing: Large (men’s boot size 8-11), X-Large (men’s boot size 10-13)

Sexy Military/Camouflage Clothes?

Posted by admin on March 30th, 2010 and filed under Camouflage Clothes | 1 Comment »

I am going to be taking some professional pictures to send to my boyfriend who is overseas. I am trying to find sexy/girlie military type clothes to wear but I can’t find anything anywhere! Anyone know of any places that carry that type of thing? Websites? No sleezy smart as comments from nasty guys trying to get attention please! =/ Thanks!

well, i don’t know where to find it, but cute, tight, army print capris are great. Also, an army print tank top with rhinestone words on it is also a great choice!!! search your local department stores, like target or walmart. I’m sure you could find it there!!!

Why do ravens fans wear camo pants?

Posted by admin on March 30th, 2010 and filed under Camo Pants | 4 Comments »

I was at the medowlands this weekend to watch the giants play the ravens and noticed that most of them where wearing purple camo pants . Usally in sports there is a reason behind things like this, so ravens fans I ask you why camo?

Well, Teri, it’s not for fighting Barney, although a few Ravens fans believe that Barney stole the colors from them… They are just an incredibly unfortunate fashion trend, and i use fashion lightly there. You actually sometimes see people walking around B-More wearing baggy ones that look like MC hammers parachute pants.

looking for good camo clothes for a good price ?

also whats a good pair of hunting boots

Wal-mart use to carry some good realtree wranglers with double walled knees but they have switched over to some generic camo pattern made out of very soft and fragile material.

By far the cheapest and most durable camo I have found is military surplus. I really like German Flecktarn camo. I paid $30 for this brand new fleck jacket 2 years ago.. been beaten and abused but the color hasnt faded and it shows no signs of wear. The jacket without the liner stops all wind.

Got 2 used pairs of pants in like new condition for $20 and 5 used long sleeve shirts in like new condition for $15. Far cheaper and better quality that lasts longer than anything in retail stores.

Help building a ghillie suit?

Posted by admin on March 30th, 2010 and filed under Camo Trousers | 3 Comments »

I’ve been looking and so far It starts out as, buy camo trousers and top…cover them in some netting and attatch Jute twine..what ever that is and where i could find it i dunno, What foot and headwear would be good, also has anyone else got as bored as me and constructed a Ghillie suit, just curious and thought of makin one.
fount a useful website

http://www.ghilliesuits.com/build%20_own.htm

I have made one for my job, I have stalked in it hundreds of times, it’s four years old and still holds up. I ghillie should start with a pair of cammies, one size too big. Take a sea bag or some canvas and cover the front of the blouse, trousers and elbows in it. These are called skid plates and make it more durrable as a stalk is in the prone a lot. Make sure to use rounded edges as they are less likley to catch on anything. You can double stitch them on, and dental floss works best for that. After that, cover the seems and edges of the skid plates in shoe goo ( the more the marrier). On the back cut a large holw and cover it with mesquio net to make a vent and keep it confortable. Secure netting to the back of the blouse and trousers, a survival hammock works well. Use dental floss again, and/or zip ties. Don’t skimp on this part, make sure it is good and secure as a loose net will catch on brush. Just jute or shredded burlap for garnish. Clumps about as wide as your thumb work well. Use shorter lengths for the shoulders and legs and longer ones for the small of the back and veil. A veil can be made in the fassion of a hood or like mine, a boonie cover. Netting and garnish is secured to this in the same way as on the rest of the ghillie. You want it long in back so it will cover your neck. Remember, the purpose of the garnish is only to break up the outline. Tie in lengths of 550 cord (gutted so the white won’t show) with the garnish to aid in attaching vegitation to the ghillie. All of this burlap and shoe goo will be shiney, so spray paint over the shoe goo, and after that roll in mud, then let the suit dry. Repeat this process untill the suit has no shine and the garnish is frayed and dingey.
